Terms of Service
These terms apply to your use of the TabNotes Chrome extension, companion mobile PWA, and optional Google Drive sync feature.
Use of TabNotes
TabNotes is provided as a productivity tool for creating, organizing, exporting, and optionally syncing personal notes. You are responsible for the content you create and store with the extension.
Local-first storage
TabNotes stores data locally by default. You are responsible for maintaining backups of important information. TabNotes includes export and optional Google Drive sync features to help with this.
Optional Google Drive sync
If you enable Google Drive sync, you authorize TabNotes to create and update sync data in your Google Drive app data folder. You may disconnect Google Drive sync from TabNotes at any time.
No professional advice
TabNotes is a general note-taking tool. It does not provide legal, medical, financial, or professional advice.
Availability and changes
TabNotes may be updated, changed, or discontinued. We aim to preserve user data through stable export formats, but no software can be guaranteed to be uninterrupted or error-free.
Open source license
TabNotes source code is available on GitHub. The source code license applies to the code; these terms apply to use of the distributed extension and related public pages.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TabNotes is provided without warranties of any kind. The developer is not liable for lost notes, lost backups, or other damages arising from use of the extension.
